My Grandmother's house, that is. On August 8th, 2014, she decided that she'd done enough suffering and finally left this veil of tears, passing peacefully in her sleep. In my last journal, I talked about my grocery store closing down, and not knowing what I was going to do. Turns out, the upper bosses just transferred me to another store in the company, and I got a promotion out of the deal, too.  I'm still thinking very seriously about putting out some applications elsewhere, especially to try and find something closer to home--the location they transferred me to is half an hour away from my home--but for now, I'll keep rocking along with this job.  I'm curious if I'm getting a nice pay raise with this promotion.  Sure as hell hope so, if only to cover travel expenses.  Gas is CRAZY. Two weeks ago, I found out that the grocery store where I work is going out of business.  I've worked there 11 years--it's the only job I've ever had.  And then they tell me, "Oh, we aren't sure we can guarantee you a spot at another location.  We'll TRY, though."  As of now, I'm STILL not sure what's going to happen.  And the store's last day is July 5th. So, with little-to-no warning, I suddenly find myself about to be out of a job.  Isn't that nice?
